My pillow is wet

7/16/2015

2 a.m.

Mommy went into Mr. J's room to find out why he was crying.

M: Why are you crying?
J: My pillow is wet.

Mommy checked the pillow - it was soaking wet, but didn't smell funny - sweat? water spill?

M: Why is your pillow wet?  Did you have a bad dream?
J: Because I was crying.

M: Why are you crying?
J: Because I am thirsty.

M: Mommy brought in a glass of water at bedtime last night. Here, it's on the bedside table.
J: I didn't remember.... (drinks)

M: Next time, why don't you check to see if there is water before you cry.
J: OK...

Mommy took off pillow case and threw pillow on floor.
Mr. J went back to sleep on backup pillow.

Next morning...

Daddy:  Why is there a pillow on the floor?
J: I don't know...

900 piggies

Mr. J said, "daddy, try to get 900 piggies on the iPad."
(In the Angry Bird Transformers, the player has to shoot many piggies in order to upgrade.)

Mommy said, "Mr. J, you are quite the slave driver.  You might make a good manager some day."

My. J bursted out laughing.

Mr. J is sad because...

12/31/2014

Mr. J was really sad that 2014 is ending.
He had so much fun is 2014.  Even though 2014 had to leave before he could meet 2015, Mr. J does not want to meet 2015.

Maybe Mr. J already figured out that growing up is no fun...

Or maybe Mr. J equated 2015 with the end of vacation in HI.  He had so much fun in HI with everybody.  He is pre-missing grandpa and grandma, and requesting another vacation to start on 1/3/15 to last a year and a half.

The more the merrier

Mr. J really likes to be with people.  Since the family reunion in Gloucester, Mr. J has been fond of saying, "I want to go back to boston to stay at the same house with the same people."  He actually started being sad hours before leaving grandpa and grandma in Honolulu.  He cried on the plane, saying "I want to go back."

Then we had grandpa and grandma over - they found out about Mr. J's summer vacation and immediately booked tickets to come help with childcare.  Such a blessing!  Mr. J was so happy to introduce grandpa to Minecraft, and "zombify" his own photo.  Mr. J then went to Hawaii with mommy and grandpa and grandma to attend Ggrandma S's funeral.  After a couple of weeks with everyone, it was time to leave.  Mr. J wanted to turn the plane around.

Gong and Po came next, followed by Uncle J.  Each time, Mr. J treated everyone as if the live in the house full time.  He just loves to be with people.  The more the merrier.
